Dear Keller Families,
We are proud to announce that Keller Junior High has been named a National Unified Champion Banner School by Special Olympics North America for the second time! We had to exceed 10 standards of INCLUSION in 4 different categories – Unified Sports, Inclusive Youth Leadership, Whole School Engagement, and Sustainability. Our Wildcats show up for each other every day and it’s through that hard work and commitment to inclusion by each of our students and staff that we have now earned this national recognition twice. We have 7 National Banner Schools here in District 54 and we are the 3rd to earn a second banner, joining Addams and Mead. We are proud to continue our legacy of inclusion and respect for all here at Keller.
Have a wonderful weekend, GO BEARS, and BEAR DOWN!!!
As always, if you have any questions, please do not hesitate to contact our front office staff or me. Thank you for your patience, flexibility, and support and we will work “TOGETHER AS ONE” to ensure the success of our students.
Regards,
Tom Barbini
Principal
