Hello Keller Community! We hope you all enjoyed your spring break. Please read below for our monthly PTA update. 
 
PTA Meetings and Minutes

PTA Volunteer Opportunities

• Hot Lunch: We need help handing out hot lunches on Thursdays. You can sign up for one or more shifts here. 
• PTA Treat Day: We need help selling treats during the lunch period the second Wednesday of every month. Sign up here. 
• Keller Treat Day: We also have a new opportunity to help the school sell treats on select Tuesdays and Wednesdays during lunch now through early May. Sign up for one or more slots using this link: https://www.signupgenius.com/go/10C0F4EA5AA29A3F9C34-62773482-tuesday

• NEW! Move a Mile for Mental Health: Once a year, Keller students walk or run a mile during their PE classes to raise awareness about the importance of mental health. Applications for STC Summer Camp Scholarships DUE April 10 (TOMORROW)
STC Scholarships are available for D54 students who meet the following criteria:

• Household member is a current PTA member of the student’s school
• Currently in Kindergarten through 7th grade 
• Enrolled in a summer camp/program. This is not a requirement, but it is easier than waiting to enroll at a later time.

Camp/Program information: Any student who will be attending a summer camp/program can apply for the STC PTA Elementary Scholarship. The camp or program can be through a park district, District 54, or a private organization. Camps must be non commercial, nonsectarian, and nonpartisan.
 
Families must fill out all information on the application, including the student essay portion by April 10, 2026. Here is a link to the application: https://sites.google.com/view/stcelementaryscholarship/home?authuser=2 
  
The applications will be read and evaluated by several committee members and scholarships will be awarded to those chosen by the committee. Scholarship awards can be applied UP TO $125 per student.

STC Fundraiser for 8th Grade Graduation Signs
The Schaumburg Township Council of PTAs (STC) is accepting donations to ensure every graduating 8th grader has a yard sign to celebrate their graduation from School District 54. Hot Lunch
Keller’s PTA organizes hot lunch on Thursdays through Marlaslunch.com for the 2025 – 2026 school year. Remember the deadline to order for the following week is by 12pm on Tuesdays. 
 
Membership
We met our goal of having 100 PTA members! Currently, we have 107 members. If you join, there is no obligation to attend meetings or volunteer unless you are interested. We appreciate your support. To join, click this link: https://kellerwildcats.givebacks.com/shop 
 
Last PTA Treat Day is Wednesday, May 13
The last Keller PTA Treat Day of the year will be May 13. Treats are $1. Parents or guardians must complete this permission form the day before treats are sold in order for your student to be able to purchase treats. You only need to fill out this permission form one time for your student. The permission form is valid for the entire 2025-2026 school year. No bills over $10 will be accepted. 
 
School of Excellence Update
Based on your feedback we are working with administration to bring more opportunities to volunteer at and support Keller. Come volunteer and share your ideas with us. We will be asking for your help by completing a short survey in May.
